Adjusting Length of an animation, formula?

  • Is there a formula to adjust the speed of an animation to create it a certain length? You can't change the length it's self, but if you change the speed to lets say, 2, and the length is .8 seconds, it would be 1.6 seconds.

    However is there a formula to determine what you need the change the speed to in order to make it 2 seconds instead of just .8?

    Also, could someone tell me why this is off topic to a question that should asked in the question and not forums? This just removed for the question tab for it being off topic..

  • You would divide the initial length by your target length to retrieve the appropriate speed, like so:

    speed = length1/length2
